BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES

Future Initiatives

  • Create new job opportunities within the Corridor for area residents
    • Partner with Employment Security Commission to provide job vacancies information
    • REAL Entrepreneurship Class Training, which allows new businesses and business expansions
  • Promoting Corridor business development activities
    • Providing assistance to collaborative efforts between EMMA [East Market Merchants Association] and Mutual Community Savings Bank for business workshops
  • Old Post Office Site
    • EMSDC is assisting in the completion of a Master Design Plan project with the goal of creating a mixed use, 13-acre property. This site will potentially serve University students and employees, neighborhood residents, and downtown gentry. This project design plan is a result of community input, as welcomed by the property owner United House of Prayer.

Future Initiatives are subject to changes, as community needs change.
